Early Childhood Wellness Program

Enhancing children's health, happiness, and well-being through social-emotional and physical health services.

As a part the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County's Healthy Beginnings Program, Parent-Child Center's Early Childhood Wellness (ECW) Program provides comprehensive physical and social-emotional health services in specific subsidized childcare centers throughout Palm Beach County. Services are provided by Master's level therapists and nurses with specialized training in the field of early childhood. The program is based on research and best practice in the field and interventions are designed to enhance social-emotional well-being and physical health for infants, toddlers, and young children that may be at-risk for future difficulties.

Using a collaborative team approach, program staff provide services focusing on increasing the ability of children to grow, develop, and learn in ways that enhance their social, physical, and emotional health. Team members are trained in the areas of 0-5 screening and assessment, play therapy, family therapy, developmental issues, parenting, attachment, childhood disorders, and trauma.
