Outpatient Services

Parent-Child Center's Outpatient Services provides comprehensive community behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and their families. Counseling services focus on decreasing emotional and behavioral issues related to stressors, trauma, adjustment issues, or mental health disorders.
Services include high-quality culturally and linguistically sensitive assessment, individual, family, and group psychotherapy provided in our outpatient offices, homes, community centers, and schools throughout Palm Beach County. We strive to be flexible, meeting families where and when they need them the most, whenever possible.
Our clinical staff consists of Master's and Ph.D. level mental health professionals with a wide range of experience and expertise in child and family therapy. They are trained in both evidence-based and best practices in child, adolescent, and family psychotherapy, including specialties and approaches such as: Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Therapy.

We focus on assessing each child and family's individual needs and strengths. Based on presenting issues and needs, our staff works with the child and family to develop an individualized treatment plan to help children and their families work through a variety of issues in a safe environment. Therapy helps children and their families gain insight and understanding into behaviors and emotions and develop positive strategies that lead to success in life.

In addition to accepting some private insurances and Medicaid, we work on a sliding fee scale for families. Funding is available for families who are uninsured and can not afford to pay for services. No person is denied access to services on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or disability. In the event we are unable to meet a special needs of a client, an appropriate referral will be made.
